Unhinged?  Si Leis on I-Team?

Last night, WCPO aired this I-Team report.  Looks like someone must have forwarded The Beacon’s information to Laure Quinlivan, as the whole piece looked like a recap of what Michael Earl Patton has been posting for the last several days.  Who knows!  But the real treat in this report is how Si Leis looks like he is about to become totally unhinged!  Go to WCPO and check out the video!

First, a big shout out to Michael Earl Patton.  It was Patton and The Beacon who first published the photos you see in this I-Team report.  He didn’t take them, but he was the first to spread the word about what had happened here.

Patton was also the first to publicize this letter, sent by Leis on the taxpayer dime to convince his employees to vote for the new jail tax.

Where would we be without Michael Earl Patton?

Whenever you have high-profile people engaged in public work, tons of people are bound to be watching.  I have no idea who “Jason Gloyd” is, for example, though he is extensively interviewed by the I-Team.  Sometimes, I have been accused of being too egocentric.  For example, how do I know if it was this work here at The Beacon that got forwarded to WCPO, or some of the other legions who are watching Si Leis?  I guess I don’t.  But I do know that Michael Patton first brought us these stories, and that after he did they have now landed a prime-time news spot!

The Beacon never got footage of Si Leis looking about to go over the edge!  Check out quotes like this:

“If I can’t put a sign on a sheriff’s vehicle that says support the new jail, tyring to get this tax levy passed, there’s something wrong there.”

What a great quote!  Defenders of Leis have been saying that the phrase “Support the new jail” is not directly trying to get the levy passed, and therefore they have tried to claim it does not violate Ohio law.  Well, Leis just said that was precisely his intent!  Does he think he is above the law?  Is he above the law?!
