The Enquirer’s CFO Quits, Speculation Abounds
Sunday, August 05, 2007

Posted by The Dean of Cincinnati

What does it mean when a major outfit’s Chief Financial Officer just quits?  That seems to have happened with Mary Devish, The Enquirer’s CFO, whose last day was reportedly this past Friday.  And, save , hardly anything has been written.

It seems like this is a huge blow.  If The Enquirer, for example, were a stock traded on the market, wouldn’t this sudden and unexplained depature of the CFO be devastating for stock prices?

What’s going on that would cause the CFO to just walk out of the job?
