The Cincinnati Beacon
Sean Robert Lackey is running for City Council

While out tasting our delicious city this weekend, the Cincinnati Beacon discovered yet another unknown candidate for City Council. Sean Robert Lackey is a lifelong resident who says he has a professional background in business management, marketing & operations.

(We were a bit surprised not to see many council candidates out there pounding the pavement at this year’s Taste of Cincinnati. It may have just been too crowded or perhaps some big money candidates are feeling more confident than they should. We saw Jim Tarbell, a council member who’s term limited this year. We liked his idea of having the ‘Taste’ on the river. Having it on 5 th street made it feel very cramped compared to years past. We also spotted Chris Bortz and Greg Harris. I saw a few Crowley t-shirts and was told John Cranley was spotted.)

Lackey’s still working on his web page and his flyer says he’s for:

1.  Safe Neighborhoods
2.  Reducing Crime
3.  Neighborhood Development
4.  Economic Development
5.  Job Creation & Retention
6.  Increased Home Ownership

Though I strongly oppose all of the above and think his platform is too well defined, we will be conducting follow up interviews with all the council candidates.  The Cincinnati Beacon is proud to bring you the most in-depth political coverage in town and we thank you for your continued support.
