Harper Opposes Jail Tax
Friday, June 08, 2007

Posted by Media Release

Andre Harper, Cincinnati City Council Candidate, opposes the jail tax recently enacted by the Hamilton County Commissioners. “Like many others, I agree that Hamilton County needs a new jail, but deliberately going against the will of the people is not the answer. Citizens elect officials to solve problems by using available resources. In this case, citizens are unwilling to pay more taxes. The citizens of Hamilton County already pay high taxes, and raising taxes should be the last resort instead of the first response.”

Andre Harper is a public servant and not a politician. He is the youngest endorsed candidate for Cincinnati City Council (Hamilton County Republican Party).  He is a decorated army veteran and graduate of Florida A&M University. He has received numerous awards for his service to Cincinnati.  Harper is looking forward to bringing strong, visionary leadership to Cincinnati while leading the Queen City into its next golden era.
