In this recent item from Rob Dowdy at Community Press, a few citizens were given a platform for expressing their views (including the Cincinnati Beacon’s very own Michael Earl Patton). But what is it with known Phil Heimlich cronies always getting pro-Heimlich propaganda into print? How many times can this happen before more people take issue with the pattern?
Check out this excerpt:
Dan Unger, 44, of Colerain Township, said he’s against raising taxes but supported the proposal, and wanted assurance in its language that it would end either when a monetary value was achieved or by a specific date.
“It’s time to stop what’s going on,” he said, in reference to the crime in the county.
The excerpt is interesting, in that it does provide an idea for improving the plan. But more notably, it comes from someone who seems to dislike the idea of more taxes but who supports the plan anyway. This is a useful concept for Team Heimlich: they need to spread the notion that people who do not like increased taxes should support the plan anyway. (Why do you think Heimlich’s good friend and business partner Christopher P. Finney, Esq. got C.O.A.S.T. on board for a tax hike? They need the anti-tax crowd to support this tax!)
That Unger’s ideas are useful to the Heimlich position may not initially seem conspiratorial—but once again a little investigating shows these guys have a previously established political relationship.
Check out this item from a 2005 Becker Report. It includes this:
October 6, 2005
Cincinnati Right to Life held a very successful fundraiser at the Hyatt in Cincinnati.
About 600 people attended to hear Gianna Jessen’s powerful story.
Special thanks to Jeff Eichhorn who invited me to sit at Jim Petro’s table.
Other table guests included Tom Brinkman, Phil Heimlich, Joe Platte, and Dan Unger.
So there you have it. The pattern continues to emerge. Team Heimlich plants political cronies to push concepts into media whenever possible. This prior relationship, however, begs some questions: What is Dan Unger’s relationship to the current Heimlich campaign? Is Unger either working or volunteering for Phil’s re-election? If so, should that information be disclosed?
