First, Simon Leis used taxpayer dollars to distribute threatening letters to his employees, suggesting that if they did not vote for the new jail they could lose their jobs. Next, Leis put huge “Support the New Jail” signs all over County vehicles in the Harvest Home parade—both actions which eventually prompted a citizen lawsuit. Now, he’s posted his message on the Sheriff’s web page!
In the event that he takes down the logo—which I doubt, because Leis strikes me as a stubborn man—I have archived it for evidence:

Is there no end to how far Leis will go to push the boundaries? Why are Democrats Todd Portune and David Pepper helping to support this stubborn and obtuse Republican? Don’t they see that they are just being used by Sheriff Leis and his grotesque desire constantly to build bigger and bigger jails?
